“Circa 1865,
Italianate three-story double, originally may have been single residence.
Building is stuccoed, originally bracketed wood
cornice. 3222 has original porch and windows; 3320 has circa 1950 major
alterations to fenestration.”

Samuel
was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Col. of
Pharmacy. He died in 1907 at the home of his son, J. Wilmer Henszey
at 3216
Baring St. Samuel's father, also Samuel C., was a prominent banker. Joseph Henszey attended Friends Central and Drexel and began
working at Baldwin Locomotive works. After 26 years there he had moved from foreman
to chief inspector of locomotive construction.

1895,
January: Edward and Cecilia Brill purchase the property from her father,
Francis K. Shippen (3313 Baring St.) for $5,000 which
