The History of the Building

 

Circa 1870, Second Empire-style, two-and-one-half story double; first-floor arcuated doorways, projecting bays, and wood porch posts with unifying bracketed cornice and bracketed wood cornice below mansard; 3405 has slate shingles; 3407, asphalt. Each house has paired dormer windows.”

In 1860, George W. and his wife Anne were 25 and 26 years old.  He was a bookkeeper.  His father was born in Prussia, his mother in Pa. They lived in the 7th Ward.  In 1870, George W. Niemann and his wife Anna lived at 2010 6th St.

                        In 1900, they lived at 1933 Daughin St.  He and Annie were both born in Germany.
